Aaron Lewis feels he is maturing as a person as well as a player during his loan spell with Rovers.
The full-back has started the past two games in Sky Bet League One, and says the decision to join the club has been the right one.
He said: “The first few weeks have been brilliant and I’ve settled in quickly so it’s been a nice transition for me.
“The boys here are a great bunch and they’ve made it easy for me, it’s a close-knit group so I never felt any pressure.
“The only difference for me is the location, I’m in a team with a group of lads who are desperate to do well for each other.”
Lewis has settled in quickly to life in South Yorkshire, and now shares a house with team mates Herbie Kane and Kieran Sadlier.
He added: “I spoke to Herbie before I came here and he sold the club to me, I’ve known him for a while and now I’m staying with him it stops me from getting bored.
“Both lads are good to share with as we’re of a similar age, so it’s a good place to have away from the football side of things.
“Now I’m settled my motivation is to keep my place in the team, I had to bide my time and work hard but now I’m in I want to stay there.”
