Manager Grant McCann says the Rovers squad are only focusing on themselves ahead of Saturday’s clash with promotion rivals Charlton Athletic.

Rovers and the Addicks occupy the final two play-off spots in the Sky Bet League One table, and McCann is hoping that his side’s form at the Keepmoat Stadium can carry them to another three points in their bid to cement their top six spot.

“They’ve been up and around the top six just like we have all season, Lee Bowyer has a very good side there, but it’s all about us and what we do, we have to make sure we have a positive reaction to recent results,” he said.

“They have a lot of good forwards that we have to be careful with, they’ve lost Karlan Grant but they replaced him with a big striker in Josh Parker, and they’ve got Lyle Taylor who was in good form too.

“We love playing at home, especially when the fans are behind us and roaring us on and we want to try and continue our good form here, we’ve shown different sides to our game here and we want to make sure we get another good result on Saturday.”

Rovers will be looking to bounce back with victory following a draw and a defeat on the road over the past week, but McCann says the aim hasn’t changed and there shouldn’t be any cause for concern regarding the bid for promotion.

"We’re into the business end of the season now, we need to make sure that everybody is fit and ready to go, the boys are ready to roll their sleeves up and fight for promotion and do what we’ve set out to achieve,” he added.

“We’re still in the process of proving people wrong, a lot of people wrote us off at the start of the season, they all had us towards the bottom half of the table, fighting relegation, we still have that burning inside of us to show what we’re made of.

“People might doubt us that we haven’t had the best results over the past couple of games, but when you look at it, we’ve lost four games in 21, there aren’t any wheels falling off here, we’re firmly focused on what we want to do, and our number one aim is promotion."
