Grant McCann believes Shrewsbury Town will provide his side with a tough test in Sky Bet League One on Tuesday night.

Rovers have lost just one league game in 2019, and McCann says they will be ready for the threats posed by Sam Ricketts’ side.

He said: “They’re a big physical team who will be a threat to us, but we will go there and play our own game.

“It has shown in this league how quickly you can move up or down the division, we’re still trying to reach for the stars after a minor setback.

“They were outstanding last season and they rarely changed system, it’s been tough for them to replicate that after the manager left.”

A win for Rovers would take them five points clear of seventh placed Peterborough, and the manager says they are just taking each game as it comes.

He added: “Every game is important but we know with it being a game in hand then it can give us a psychological edge.

“Our home form has been very good and we’ve been performing well away, we want to keep adding to our points tally.”

Rovers return to the Keepmoat Stadium to take on Charlton Athletic on Saturday March 2, with tickets available now from tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.
