Officials confirmed for Peterborough United match

Carl Boyeson will be the man in charge when Rovers host Peterborough United on Saturday.

Boyeson is an extremely experienced referee with over 16 years’ experience of professional football. He began his career in 2002 when he oversaw a 3-2 victory for Bury as they hosted Swansea City in Football League Division Two.

He first refereed a Doncaster Rovers match in 2004 when Rovers beat Leyton Orient 5-0 at home. He has been in charge of two Rovers matches this season a 3-0 home victory over Wycombe Wanderers and a 2-1 defeat away at Coventry City.

The last time Boyeson oversaw a Peterborough match was their Boxing Day defeat at Barnsley. He also oversaw the Posh’s draw with Blackpool earlier in the season.

Boyeson has been in charge of 26 matches in this campaign, 11 of which have been in Sky Bet League One. He has awarded 92 yellow cards and three red cards.

Boyeson will be assisted by Paul Hobday, Billy Khatib. Ian Smedley is the fourth official.
