Rovers had to settle for a point at Glanford Park as a first-half goal from Mallik Wilks was cancelled out by Kyle Wootton's header in the second-half.
Wilks struck on the half-hour mark when a Herbie Kane cross was left by Ali Crawford, and the on-loan forward swept the ball home into the bototm right corner.
Rovers had chances to extend their lead, with Wilks smashing an effort off a post and John Marquis lifting an effort over, but Kyle Wooton was left in too much space to turn home Tony McMahon's deep cross and ensure the match finished level.
