Joe Wright says he’s feeling good after playing 60 minutes for Rovers’ Development side against Grimsby Town.
The defender has made just one cameo appearance since October after being ruled out with an ankle injury, but feels he’s not far away from full fitness.
He said: “It was a good exercise for me to get some minutes under my belt, I think that’s what this week is all about for me.
“I’d say the Oldham game came relatively early in my recovery, but with Andy Butler being suspended I was needed to come on.
“With a few games coming up I’m hoping it won’t be too long before I’m back involved and getting some more game time.”
