Joe Wright is set to step up his return from injury by playing for Rovers' Development side against Grimsby Town reserves on Tuesday afternoon.
The centre-back suffered an ankle injury in training in October, and has just had a cameo appearance off the bench in the 2-1 Emirates FA Cup win over Oldham Athletic since his return.
He is expected to start at the centre of defence for John Schofield's Development side at Cantley Park in a squad which could also include the likes of Tommy Rowe and Alfie May.
Kick-off at Cantley Park is 1pm, with entrance free for spectators.
