Andy Butler says Rovers are going into every game believing they can win as they continue their play-off push in Sky Bet League One.

With just one defeat in their past nine league games, the club captain says they head to Wycombe this weekend looking to extend that run of form.

He said: “It’s another game where we’re confident of going there and getting the three points, we’ve got to keep doing the right things.

“At this stage of the season it’s about getting the wins on the board, they’re a good side at home but we want to go there and take three points.

“We’ve got games coming up where if we pick up maximum points then we’ll be in a really strong position.”

The game at Adams Park could see Butler go up against Adebayo Akinfenwa, and he is looking forward to the battle with the former Rovers striker.

He added: “I’ve had a few battles with him down the years and he’s been a great professional throughout his career.

“It’s a test because it’s something different, and as a defender you have to be able to adapt to different situations.

“It’s not just him as they have some good pace either side of him, sometimes it can be about stopping him bringing other people into play.”

Rovers return to the Keepmoat Stadium to take on Burton Albion on Saturday 19 January, with tickets available from tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.
