Grant McCann says his team are fully focused on the task at hand as Rovers look to reach the fifth round of the Emirates FA Cup for the first time since 1956.

Rovers welcome Sky Bet League Two side Oldham Athletic to Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday in a game McCann believes both sides will see as winnable.

“I’m looking forward to it, the FA Cup is a special tournament,” he said.

“We see it as a chance to get to the fifth round and hopefully draw one of the big boys but Oldham will be thinking the same thing. It’s a one-off game and it comes down to whoever fancies it on the day, whoever turns up and whoever implements the game plan.

“It’s going to be difficult. Oldham are on good form and their players are playing with confidence but so are we. It should be a good game.”

McCann hopes that home advantage in front of a big crowd will offer Rovers an edge over their visitors.

“This is our home, we’ve been very good here all season and we need to make sure that we keep doing what we’re doing here,” he said.

“We’ve turned the Keepmoat Stadium into a place that teams don’t want to visit. There’s going to be a big crowd here and the boys will enjoy the environment and the pressure of it.

“They’ve got the confidence of beating Fulham in the third round but we’re at home and we want to make a point that whoever comes here, we’ll give them a good game whether that be Oldham or Man United.”
