Doncaster Rovers have a vacancy for part-time Academy coaches to work within our Category 3 Academy, working within the framework laid out by the Academy management team alongside the club and Academy philosophy.

We are looking for people with the desire to work within the Academy with integrity, compassion, pride and honesty with a desire to continuously improve themselves and those around them. 

Applicants should be hard working, committed and accountable for the way they work with the players under their stewardship. 

Doncaster Rovers ask all their players to embrace challenges and our coaches should be no different, we want passionate coaches who can innovate within the structure of our coaching syllabus to ensure all players reach their full potential.

 
The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified UEFA B licence coaches  to work within our Foundation Phase (9s-12s) on a part-time basis, the Academy is forward thinking and has a strong desire to produce players from the local area to play in our first team.  The role will be based at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Successful applicants will be required to plan, record, review and implement coaching sessions that complement the DRFC coaching programme.  They will also be asked to oversee all aspects of the games programme home and away for their assigned squad whilst writing 6 weekly reports on all players within that age group.


Essential

  • UEFA B Licence
  • FA Youth Modules or willingness to work towards
  • Basic First Aid for Sport
  • Valid FA Coaching Licence
  • Valid Safeguarding Certificates
  •  Prior experience of working within player development environments

Skills

  • Good communication/listening skills
  • Organisational skills
  • IT literacy
  • Flexible approach and good time management skills

Desirable

  • Advanced Youth Award
  • Previous experience of Academy football
  • Understanding and previous working knowledge of the PMA system
