Rovers striker John Marquis has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One December player of the month award.
Marquis scored three goals and bagged two assists in December helping Rovers secure 10 points from a possible 15.
Described as “almost impossible to mark” and praised for his goals against Bristol Rovers and Scunthorpe by the judging panel, Marquis will face tough opposition from Portsmouth’s Ronan Curtis, Luton Town’s Matty Pearson, and Peterborough United’s Ivan Toney.
The judging panel comprises of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, League Managers’ Association director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL trader Mikey Mumford and the winner will be announced at 6am, January 11.
