Rovers manager Grant McCann is looking forward to seeing new signing Kieran Sadlier in action after being impressed by him in training.
Sadlier has signed a contract which kicked in on January 3, and he has been training at Cantley Park to ensure he is ready to hit the ground running.
McCann said: "He's fit, very fit. He's been working so hard and he looks really good.
"He's going to need a couple of games for the Development side, but we'll get them into him quickly."
Sadlier joined in a behind-closed-doors training ground game on Wednesday, and is in contention to go straight into the squad for Sunday's Emirates FA Cup trip to Preston North End.
He travelled with the first-team squad to Gillingham for the 3-1 win at Priestfield which ended 2018 in a high for Rovers. McCann felt it would help him acclimatise to the way his new club operate.
He added: "I think it was important Kieran went down and saw what we do.
"He's seen all the home games since he's been here bit it was important for him to see the structure of our travel and see how we approach away games."
Rovers return to the Keepmoat Stadium to take on Burton Albion on Saturday January 19, with tickets available from tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.
