John Schofield was impressed with his side’s performance in the draw with Rotherham United in Central League North.
Max Watters gave Rovers the lead midway through the first-half, before Tyler Lewthwaite secured a share of the spoils just before half-time.
Schofield said: “I’m really pleased with the attitude and application of the players, I thought we did really well with and without the ball.
“I enjoyed watching the game which is a result of how they took on board the things we asked of them.
“With the pace that we’ve got in the team we’re always a threat in-behind, we’re always looking to find space to attack.”
Full-back Niall Mason played 60 minutes of the game as he continues his comeback from injury, and Schofield believes he will benefit from that.
He added: “For Niall it’s a case of getting as many minutes under his belt so that he can show he’s ready for more game-time.
“The manager will be comfortable now knowing that he’s had an hour in this game and came through it well.”
