Two goals from Tommy Rowe helped Rovers’ Development side beat Wigan Athletic 3-2 in Central League North.
The captain scored twice after half-time to put John Schofield’s side in control, before Charlie Jolley pulled a goal back for the home side.
Myron Gibbons then raced clear to restore Rovers’ two-goal lead, with Kyle Joseph grabbing a late consolation goal from close range for the Latics.
