Dieng ready to kick on at Rovers

29 July 2019

Goalkeeper Seny Dieng feels he is ready to experience Sky Bet League One football after joining Rovers on loan from Queens Park Rangers.

The 24-year-old has moved to the Keepmoat Stadium until January, and says previous loans at Sky Bet League Two side Stevenage and Dundee in the Scottish Premiership will help him push Ian Lawlor and Louis Jones for a first team place.

He said: “I think my time at Stevenage and Dundee will help me a lot. You get used to the crowds and playing against good players. I think that experience will help me for the start of the season.

“I was training with the first team at QPR all the time, but the loans gave me chance to get game time. Both those loans went well, and I can’t wait to kick on here now.

“I like to let my performances do the talking for me, I’ve met the other goalkeepers Ian and Louis and they seem like good guys. The aim is to get as many first-team games as I can and help the club achieve their goals for the season.”

The 2019/20 season gets underway on August 3 when Rovers host Gillingham at the Keepmoat Stadium. Get your tickets at tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk so you can ensure you don't miss out!  Tickets can also be purchased from the Club Doncaster Box Office or via telephone at (01302) 762576
