Branden Horton is ready to fight for a spot in the first-team after making the step up to the development team this summer.
The left-back has been hard at work during close season to ensure he returned in top shape as players returned for pre-season Thursday morning.
Horton said: “I’m feeling good, feeling ready and can’t wait to get going with the new season after the first day of training. I feel fit because I have kept myself fit during close season and I need to keep up the hard work to try and impress the new manager.
“Being part of the U23 team this year is something I am looking forward to as it is a big step for me at this stage of my career and another step towards the first-team so I look forward to it.
“My aims always to work hard enough to push my way into the first-team and try and claim a spot there.”
