Academy teams from Rovers’ Development phase will be hosting SC del Sol from Phoenix, Arizona as part of the US side’s pre-season tour.
The football club is one of the biggest in the state running more than 50 teams catering for more than 800 male and female for players aged 4-18.
This summer the SC del Sol U13s and U14s boys teams are travelling to the birth place of football in order to play against Academy teams including Manchester City, Charlton Athletic, and Peterborough United. The tour aims to give the boys a taste of the English game.
Rovers will host the US outfit on the Astroturf pitches at the Club Doncaster Sports Park on July 27 before both teams head inside the Keepmoat Stadium to enjoy the first-team’s pre-season friendly against Championship side Hull City FC.
