Rovers U14s will face Celtic, Sheffield Wednesday, and Global Premier Soccer (a US soccer academy providing pathways to the professional game) in the Sheffield Trophy.
The competition runs across a full weekend from August 2-6 and is widely considered the most competitive international academy football tournament in England. The event takes place at Sport Park, Bawtry Road and begins at 12pm on Friday August 2.
Other teams in the competition include Sheffield United, Maiden City, Hearts of Midlothian, and Seattle Sounders. The competition offers a high quality of football, which gives young players a chance to experience international tournament football in an unforgettable weekend of football action.
