Rovers’ U18s will host Grimsby Town for the opening game of the 2019/20 Youth Alliance campaign.
Grimsby snatched the title away from Rovers on the final day of the season last year, winning the division by two points.
The game could see Ben Bottomley, Max Jemson, Lewis Cunningham, Charlie Bell, Ethan Bojang, Josh Clemitson, Liam Ravenhill, Luca Nelson and Owan Derrett feature for the first time after signing first-year scholarships this summer.
Action takes place at Cantley Park with entry free of charge. Kick-off is at 11am on Saturday August 3 and the game will finish just in time for you to head back to the Keepmoat to watch their season opener vs Gillingham at 3pm.
