Rovers 2019/20 home shirt is now available and Silver Plus Members had a chance to collect their new shirt before anyone else at an exclusive event held on Friday evening.
Celebrating 140 years of the club’s history, the kit sees a return to the iconic red and white hoops and includes details that celebrate our past while also boasting a bold, modern design. For the first time, the kit produced by Doncaster’s Elite Pro Sports also adopts the Club Doncaster logo.
The event gave Silver Plus members a unique opportunity to view the new-look club store before anyone else and pick up their complimentary 2019/20 home shirt ahead of the official store opening on June 15. As well as the kits and training gear, the shop also has some fantastic new merchandise including a variety of mugs, Donny Dog wall clocks, and more.
Speaking at the event, Rovers Silver Plus Member Paul Mayfield said: “I think the kit looks excellent and the whole store has been done out really well. The quality of the kit is first class and the variety of products in the shop is brilliant. I know a lot of people are picking out gifts for Father’s Day or getting things for their holidays – the look of the store is great too with some nice features around the 140 years.”
Elite Pro Sport retail area manager Liam Bashforth added: “The idea behind the kit was to go back to the traditional hoops. It’s a modern kit so we’re moving with the times, but it’s got a classic design. We wanted to keep it simple and bold. The shirt is designed in Doncaster by a Doncaster company and the idea is that it brings the whole town together.
“We’re trying to do something a bit different with the club store as well by bringing high street retail to a club shop environment. We want it to be a destination for fans on a matchday so we’re getting a table football for fans to use. We’ve also got an interactive part of the store with a changing room set up which is a tribute to James Coppinger and Alick Jeffrey which will give fans a chance to interact and have a few pictures.”
