Doncaster Rovers will hold its third 'Women at the Game' match on April 13.
The initiative is held to encourage attendance from women and girls who would not normally consider going to a football match as a spectator. By welcoming new and existing fans with ticket and hospitality discounts, the club showcases its facilities and extends a welcome to those who enjoy sport, in a safe and enjoyable environment.
The last Women at the Game match, in October 2018, saw hundreds of new female and family attendees gather to watch a thrilling three-all draw against Gillingham at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Doncaster RLFC held its first Women at the Game match this month and welcomed female fans, both home and away, with discounted tickets.
With Women at the Game proving successful, it created an opportunity for a second female-focused event: Female Fusion.
Female Fusion is a Club Doncaster initiative founded in September 2018 for local and regional women in business to gather, connect with inspirational speakers and network with other ladies to gain valuable learning and business contacts. With three successful events since then, Female Fusion will continue into 2019 and beyond.
