Rovers development claimed a 2-1 victory at away at Notts County in the Central League with first-half goals from Max Watters and Will Longbottom sealing the victory.
Rovers flew out of the blocks and were 1-0 up within the first minute of the game, Watters converting after a missed interception by the Notts defence saw him through one-on-one with ‘keeper Max Culverwell.
Rovers continued to dominate the first-half and Watters was involved in the second as his ball in behind the Notts defence found Longbottom who slotted home.
Notts came back into the match in the second-half with a goal from Remaye Campbell, but Rovers had too much for the home team and finished the match the victors.
