Doncaster Rovers hosted a Young Fans Panel on Saturday, March 2 ahead of Rovers clash with Charlton Athletic.
Young Rovers Fans were invited to meet with club staff to discuss how the club could improve the matchday experience for young fans.
The meeting started with an interactive sliding scale where the young fans were able to rate Rovers’ existing activities out of five, this was followed by an opportunity for the fans to offer feedback and a chance for the young fans to offer up ideas for the club to look to implement in the future.
As well as the matchday experience, the group also discussed the club’s attempts to engage and entertain fans throughout the week with things such as the brand new YouTube show DDTV, the family website, and Donny Kicks!
The Young Fans panel also gave head of safeguarding Kirsty Cavanagh the opportunity to discuss how much young fans knew about the club’s safeguarding practices and who they could turn to should something happen – such as being separated from their family - within the stadium. The young fans identified that Foundation staff, stewards, and club staff as well as family were the best people to speak to if something happened.
The Young Fans panel makes up part of the club’s ongoing efforts to create the best possible matchday experience for all.
