Eleven-year old Rovers fan, Alfie Allen has written a children’s book all about football and aliens called Can Aliens Play Football?

The book follows the adventures of Jamie, a young boy sporting a red and white hooped football shirt, and his four-armed alien friend named Andy. Jamie decides to teach Andy how to play football but they struggle as Andy doesn’t always understand Jamie’s meaning. When Jamie says “football coach”, Andy thinks a bus for football meaning the book is not only an entertaining read for youngsters, it also teaches children about homonyms.

Alfie’s book can be purchased here and he is currently working on a new book called Can Aliens Play Cricket?

Doncaster Rovers also supported World Book Day with the help of Club Doncaster Foundation who invited WHSmith to Donny Dog’s Kennel to hand out free book vouchers and books ahead of Rovers match vs Charlton Athletic.

Rovers Season Memberships for 2019/20 are on sale now. Make sure you don't miss a moment of the excitement by securing yours from the Club Doncaster Box Office on 01302 762576 or by going to tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk.
