Rovers put match issue 2018/19 charity third shirts up for auction with 100% of money raised * donated to club charity CALM.
CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) are committed to leading a movement against suicide which is the single biggest killer of men aged 45 and under in the UK and Rovers pledged their support for the charity by donating the front of the third shirt to raising awareness.
The third shirt was a striking mix of coloured triangles adorning a white shirt which are meant to represent the various facets of mental health and also convey the internal confusion and chaos a mental health condition can cause.
The shirt was designed by 10-year-old Nate Nissar who won a competition which was rolled out to primary schools across Doncaster in a move which not only offered young people in the borough an opportunity to design a shirt while also raising awareness of mental health.
The shirt was worn for Rovers’ home match against Burton Albion on January 19, a match which saw super-sub Tyler Smith score twice to come from behind and secure a draw.
The match issue shirts from this game have been signed by the player they belonged to and put up for auction on eBay.
