James Coppinger is feeling confident heading into the Sky Bet League One play-offs, as Rovers prepare to take on Charlton Athletic on Sunday.
The man who has just put pen to paper on another year at Rovers believes his side are in a great position to achieve promotion claiming his previous experience in these games will be useful.
He said: “It’d mean the world to get another promotion on my CV and maybe more than any other previous promotion because we’re in the present and it’s the here and now. I’m in a different team with a different manager and although I’m still at Doncaster - it’s a different feeling.
“It’s a huge advantage that I and a few of the other players have been in this position before, but it’s only huge if we share that experience with some of the younger players and make them aware of what’s about to happen in terms of the magnitude of the game.
“This time is different to previous times I've been in the play-offs with this team because it isn’t expected against ex-Premier League clubs with big budgets and the expectation of promotion, but we’ve performed so well this season and I feel we could’ve finished higher with the performances we’ve had. I feel it’s exciting and finishing in sixth means we come into it with no pressure.”
