Grant McCann and James Coppinger believe supporters have a big part to play at Sunday afternoon's play-off opener against Charlton Athletic.

McCann said: “The fans help. It will be a really good game and I know it’s on TV but we need you here.

“The boys love it when this place is full - the atmosphere is special really and we all want to make sure we experience this together.

“We are good at home, the boys love playing at the Keepmoat Stadium and we’re confident here."

James Coppinger has echoed the thoughts of his manager as he urges supporters to get behind the team.

He added: “For this game we need a huge lift in terms of support, they can be massive for us.

“They’ve stuck with us all season, especially at home. We can look around and see familair faces there and the amount of fans who have come to watch the home games is really beneficial to the players - I'm sure it will be the same on Sunday.

“It’s a huge game for the club and if the fans back us like they have done all season then I’m sure we’ll be in a good place.”

This is your last chance to get behind the boys at home as we take on Chartlon Athletic in the first leg of the Sky Bet League One semi-final. Tickets are now on general sale and can be purchased from the Club Doncaster Box Office or online by visiting: tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk
