Saturday is your last chance to join Rovers supporters who have been donating old football boots, trainers and astroturf shoes in support of local refugee football team Doncaster Conversation Club United (DCC United).
Fit Rovers vets will be set up outside the Club Shop on Saturday May 4 from 4.30pm-5.30pm so you can donate your old boots.
Club Doncaster Foundation have been breaking down barriers which may prevent asylum seekers and refugees in Doncaster from participating in sport by providing opportunities for weekly football training session and the team’s involvement in an evening football league – donating football boots is the next piece of the puzzle.
The Foodbank will also be in attendance at the match on Saturday and will be situated in their usual place outside the Belle Vue bar. The DRFC fans4foodbanks have already smashed last season’s collection total and are asking supporters to dig deep for one final time.
