Ahead of Rovers' final league match of the 2018/19 season on Saturday May 4, supporters are reminded of the requirement to keep off the pitch.
The EFL has sent a reminder to clubs and their supporters as to the potential safety implications and consequences that could occur as a result of pitch incursions taking place at any stage in the final league fixtures of the 2018/19 season.
The EFL understands the end-of-season fixtures are charged with emotion as supporters experience the highs and lows of a league campaign finale, but the safety of players, managers, fans, and match officials must remain of paramount importance.
Rovers could receive a significant fine if supporters ignore the requests, while anyone who enroaches on the pitch could face a banning order as well as a criminal conviction.
Rovers' first-team players and coaching staff would like the opportunity to thank fans for their support in the form of a lap of honour after the game. This would not be able to take place in the event of a pitch incursion.
Saturday will mark a really important match for Rovers and your support will make the difference as the Grant McCann’s side look to claim the final play-off place. Bring your noise, bring your passion, bring your support, but please remember to keep off the pitch.
