Captain Tommy Rowe says the squad know they are in for a tough test when they host Coventry City  for season finale.

Rovers go in search of a win that will secure a Sky Bet League One play-off place when the Sky Blues visit the Keepmoat Stadium, and Rowe believes Rovers have what it takes to get over the line.

“This stage of the season is always tough, no matter who you play against, teams are coming at all angles looking to get points on the board for one reason or another, you just have to stick with it and grind results out,” he said.

“We have to be really pragmatic in the way we attack the game, we’ve done that, we’ve adjusted in the right way, it’s been a good week of work, the spirits are high, we’re quietly relaxed and confident about the weekend and we can go out and do a job.

“We are only focused on us and what we need to do, Saturday takes care of itself really, we always knew we’d need a win really, the job isn’t done yet, we’d be silly to think otherwise, we understand how things change but we know where we are and what we have to do.”

A big crowd is expected at the Keepmoat Stadium for the final game of the regular season, and the skipper feels the Rovers fans can have a big part to play in helping to get the job done at the weekend.

“That fans really got behind us on Saturday at Oxford and it really helped," he added.

“It was a great feeling coming away from there knowing that we’d sent them away happy, they gave us the kick we needed in the second half. This Saturday we need them more than ever.

“It’ll be a great atmosphere, as it has been at home for much of this season, the last day of the season is always a great occasion, hopefully it’ll be a happy day for us and we’re celebrating getting the job done, but that’ll be all down to us on the day.”

Saturday is your last chance to be the difference in the play-off push! Join us at the Keepmoat Stadium to help get the lads over the line. Tickets are available at the Club Doncaster Box Office, online at tickets.clubdoncaster.co.uk and via telephone on 01302 764664.
