Officials confirmed for Emirates FA Cup tie at AFC Wimbledon

6 November 2019

Darren Drysdale will be the man in charge when Rovers travel to AFC Wimbledon for the Emirates FA Cup first round.

A highly experienced referee, Drysdale is in his 16th season as a Football League referee. He took charge of his first League match – a League Two encounter between Rushden & Diamonds and Kidderminster Harriers – in August 2004.

The Lincolnshire based official has taken charge of 16 matches in the current campaign handing out 61 yellow cards and one red card.

The last time he refereed a Rovers match was also in the FA Cup – he was the man in-charge when Rovers beat Chorley Town 7-0. More recently, he was fourth official for Rovers home win over Southend United in February 2019.

Drysdale will be assisted by Oliver Jackson and Paul Kelly on Saturday. Graeme Fyvie will be fourth official.
