Cameron John has taken to the EFL like a duck to water since arriving at Rovers on loan from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer.
The 20-year-old has become a fan favourite thanks to his composure on the ball and consistent performances. Injury has kept the centre back out of the side in recent weeks but he is generally pleased with his start to life at Rovers.
“It’s been a great couple of months so far, I’ve really enjoyed my time here and the amount of time I’ve had on the pitch has been really good,” he said.
“The club and the fans have really welcomed me in and that has helped me to settle in quickly which sometimes can be difficult.
“I probably didn’t expect to play so much so early and thought it would take a little longer with the amount of experience we have here.
“As my first loan it’s a good experience, I’ve had similar players around me throughout the season so far."
Saturday’s programme is a special edition to commemorate 140 years of Rovers and includes a poster celebrating the club’s long history.
