Moore: Rovers must focus on themselves

17 October 2019

Darren Moore wants his side to focus on what they can do when they come up against Bristol Rovers this weekend.

Rovers are looking to end a three game winless run in Sky Bet League One, and Moore says they have been working hard on finishing chances off.

He said: “I like to think that as a team people can see what we’re all about, and Saturday’s game will be two teams with their own style going head to head.

“In any game when you get chances you have to take them, and that comes from plenty of work on the training ground.

“It is work which involved getting people in the right areas and making sure people are confident enough to take the shot on.”

Saturday’s opponents head to the Keepmoat Stadium full of confidence after climbing to fourth in the table in recent weeks, and Moore knows his team are in for a tough game.

“I haven’t been surprised by their good start, they’ve got a good manager who knows what he wants from his team.

“You identify with them how they want to play and Graham Coughlan has really got them going and giving everything for each other.

“They have picked up some really good results so far this season so it presents another tough game for us.”
