Leigh Doughty will be the man in the middle when Rovers travel to face Tranmere Rovers in Sky Bet League One.
Doughty was promoted to the National List of Referees in the summer following a successful season in the National League, finishing last year by taking charge of Salford City's penalty shoot-out win over Eastleigh in the play-off semi-final.
Saturday’s match will be the second time he has officiated League One after taking charge of Gillingham's 3-1 win over Southend United, sending off Emile Acauah for the Shrimpers.
This season he has overseen 10 matches, with his latest being Cambridge United's 4-0 win at home to Exeter City in League Two, and this will be the first time he has officiated Rovers.
Doughty will be joined by assistant referees Alix Pashley and Conor Brown, with Jon Kenny as the fourth official.
