Sheaf enjoying time at Rovers

18 October 2019

Ben Sheaf said he had no hesitation about moving north to test himself in Sky Bet League One.

The Arsenal loanee turned out for his parent club in the Europa League and is now gaining more valuable experience by playing regular senior football.

“I got some good experience playing in the Europa League with Arsenal which obviously at the time was a really proud moment for myself and my family,” says Sheaf.

“What it did do though is give me a taste of what it’s like to play at that level, and that drives me on to try and reach it again.

“I wasn’t worried about moving up north or anything like that, it’s been really easy and nice to get used to a new area.

“Whether it’s north or south, or even abroad if I feel it can benefit me as a person and as a player then I’ll look to do it."

Sheaf has been a regular starter in Darren Moore’s side and feels he is gaining a lot from his time at Rovers.

“It’s a different environment and something I felt I needed, and with the way Doncaster Rovers is run makes it feel like the right move for me,” he added.

“It’s been a really good start for myself, I’m playing games and the manager has integrated me into the team really well.”

“The way he wants to play is good to be a part of and on top of that we’ve got a great bunch of lads off the field as well.”

Programmes will be available to purchase around the ground for £3 or you can pick up a matchday programme and DNA Quartely for £5.
