Paul Stancliffe is eager to get the better of Mansfield Town when his U18 side go head-to-head with the league rivals in the FA Youth Cup.

The youth team will head to The Stags in high spirits having won back-to-back games since last playing Mansfield, keeping clean sheets on both occasions.

Stancliffe said: “The FA Youth Cup is a great occasion for the lads because it is their big cup competition and playing at a first-team stadium makes it a big occasion for them. They should embrace it and enjoy it.

“We know what to expect from Mansfield having already played them twice this season and we are in for another tough battle. If they are not up to it on the night then it will be hardwork.”

Full-back Elliott Walker could return to the side after missing out on last weekend's win over Carlisle while Ethan Bojang is still ruled out with a long-term injury.

He added: “Elliott had tonsillitis, he hasn’t been well and we will see how he is next week. Ethan is going to be out long-term and he still has a fractured metatarsal, so he is going to be a couple more months until we see him back.”

The game will take place at the One Call Stadium on Tuesday October 29. Kick-off 7.00pm. Adults enter for £3 and concessions are £1.
