Rovers U9s took part in a 7v7 tournament on Saturday October 19 playing against Mansfield Town, Scunthorpe United, and Sheffield United at the Club Doncaster Sports Park.
Throughout the season, certain weekends are reserved for festival football which gives the Foundation Phase players chance to play different teams in a highly-enjoyable format. This event was held next to the Keepmoat Stadium ahead of the first-team match against Bristol Rovers.
Rovers U9s coach Adam Pilgrim said: “I was really pleased with how the boys performed, as all the games had a great level of intensity which tested all the plays in a variety of ways.
“I felt our boys answered the challenges well and showcased the hard work they’ve been putting in so far this season.”
