To celebrate the brand new Azuma trains calling at both Doncaster and Peterborough stations, LNER is bringing their 'Hook a Duck' game to the family stand as DRFC face Peterborough United on Saturday 21 September.
New fan engagement activations across all stands and concourses are being rolled out by Doncaster Rovers this season and the LNER 'hook a duck' activation is the start of a calendar of exciting and fun additions soon to be announced. The ever-popular external fan parks will return in April 2020.
LNER are giving Rovers fans the chance to win prizes including a signed shirt, signed balls and match hospitality giveaways to those who manage to hook the Azuma ducks. The lucky winners will receive an Azuma key ring and be entered into the draw at half time, where winners will be drawn.
After renewing the shirt sponsorship with Doncaster Rovers for the second season in a row, LNER will also be handing out branded clap banners and inflatable fingers to families and supporters at the match.
The brand new Azuma trains across the 65-strong fleet have a 20% increase in capacity, which means more seats and more trains across the network. Better value fares are available to customers travelling to and from Doncaster and the rest of the East Coast. Improved wi-fi and added legroom mean more comfort for passengers alongside plenty of overhead and under-seat storage.
Head of commercial at Club Doncaster Jon Warburton said: "It's with pleasure that we have LNER as our DRFC shirt sponsor for the second season in a row. Just like the club itself, LNER is at the heart of Doncaster and connects fans both home and away up and down the country. We are sure our supporters will have fun playing 'Hook a Duck' with LNER before the match and we look forward to handing out the prizes to the lucky winners at half time"
