Len Goodson inducted into the Hall of Fame

Doncaster-born Len Goodson has become the 20th Rovers legend inducted into the Rovers Hall of Fame.

Throughout the 2019/20 season, Rovers will be inducting one Rovers player from each of the club’s fourteen decades as they celebrate 140 years of history.

Goodson joined Rovers in 1899-1900 season making an instant impact scoring a hat-trick on his debut. The following season, he scored 20 goals firing Rovers to promotion into the Football League for the first time.

Goodson will always be remembered as the man who scored Rovers first Football League goal as he bagged two against Port Vale on the opening day of the season.

The award was presented to Rovers fan Andy Latawiec ahead of Rovers victory over Peterborough United.
