James Adcock will be the man in charge when Rovers travel to St Andrew’s to face Coventry City on Saturday.
The official from Nottinghamshire has already overseen a Rovers match this season when he took charge of Rovers’ 3-2 victory over Fleetwood Town. He awarded five yellow cards in that game with Ben Sheaf, Ben Whiteman and Alfie May booked for Rovers.
Adcock qualified as a referee in 2000 at the age of 16. Adcock was appointed to the EFL as an assistant referee in 2008 and to the National List of Referees in 2011-12.
On Saturday, he will be assisted by Nigel Lugg, and Adam Crysell. Timothy Wood is the fourth official.
