Tom Anderson believes a regular run in the Rovers side has brought out the best in him so far this season.
The central defender hasn't missed a minute of football in league and cup, and says he continues to grow in confidence.
He said: “I had a good pre-season and played three full games which made a big difference in preparing me for the league campaign.
“There were a few things I worked on over the summer but the main thing was making sure I stayed in good shape even when we weren’t in training.
“As you play more games you believe in yourself more and all the added formulas can make a difference.”
Anderson has played a pivotal role in Rovers’ unbeaten start to the Sky Bet League One season, and he says the motivation is now to build on that.
He added: “I think we’ve had a good start, but that’s all it is at the moment and we have to keep that going for as long as we can.
“We had two draws to start the season off and then backed that up with three wins against really good opponents before a hard earned point at Ipswich.
“We’ve put a bit of a marker down as to what teams can expect from us and momentum has gathered along the way.”
