Jon Taylor says the closeness of the Rovers squad has helped him to settle in quickly since signing for the club.
The winger has already made an impact with a goal and an assist in a Rovers shirt, and says he is enjoying being a part of the squad.
He said: “I feel settled here and the boys have been great with me since I came in, the standards we set every day are there for all to see.
“I come in every day looking forward to training, it’s a good environment to be in with the manager’s encouragement.
“I didn’t have a pre-season training session or anything like that so I had to work hard to get myself ready quickly once I signed.”
Rovers travel to face unbeaten Ipswich Town in Sky Bet League One this weekend, and Taylor says it will be a good test at Portman Road.
He added: “There is a belief in the group that we are as good as anyone in the league and promotion has to be a realistic aim for us.
“It’s a big month for us with games against teams who are in and around us, if we can extend our winning run then we’ll be in a really good position.
“The challenge for us is to go there and give everything we’ve got, we feel we’ve got the quality that can hurt them.”
