Rovers U11s continued their impressive start to the current season with a very pleasing performance against Rotherham United on Saturday.

The 2019/20 season marks the first season of 9 v 9 football for this current squad and the players have adapted well to the new set up with good performances individually and as a team.

Lead Foundation Phase coach Tom Sutton said: “It’s pleasing to see the benefits of the new 1v1 project incorporated in the coaching syllabus bearing fruits within the players’ performances.

“The players are taking on information from the coaches and applying it to their matchday experience.  It’s always good to see players progressing and this is certainly a group that is doing that.”

The Academy is always looking to provide young players with the best tools and best opportunities to ultimately sign professional contracts but also works hard to ensure these Doncaster boys become great young men as well as great footballers.
