Jack Watson said winning LFE goal of the month was a proud moment as his stunning strike against Burton Albion won the fan vote with more than 45% of the race.
The striker scored four as Rovers came from behind to defeat Burton in the league, but his first was definitely the best. After taking a touch to set himself, he fired a thunderbolt beyond the Albion keeper and into the top corner.
He said: “It is a proud moment for me and my career. I am hoping to get more goals and hopefully that can lead to me picking up more goal of the month awards.
“When I scored it I didn’t know what to think because I was thinking more about the game at that point because we were drawing one-one and I wanted to do something special to get us back in it. Getting four goals in one game really was special."
