Brian Stock inducted into the Hall of Fame

Brian Stock has become the next Rovers legend to be inducted into the Hall of Fame by supporters after being voted as the standout player of the 2000s.

Stock began his career at AFC Bournemouth under manager Sean O’Driscoll.  When O’Driscoll was appointed Rovers manager in 2006, Stock was his first signing.

A gifted midfielder with impeccable vision and passing, Stock soon established himself as a key member of a Rovers side which enjoyed a number of years of success. He was part of the team that one the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, and, as captain, led the team to promotion in 2008.

Stock said: “It’s an absolute honour to be recognised at such a special club!

“My time at Doncaster Rovers would arguably be my favourite time throughout my 20 year career and I would like to thank all the players that I had the privilege to play alongside in what was a fantastic team!

“I’d also like to thank the staff and management throughout my time at Rovers and most importantly thank all the fans who voted and supported me and my family during my stay.”
