Rover of the Day: Aaron Taylor-Sinclair

8 April 2020

Aaron Taylor-Sinclair born April 8, 1991

Born in Aberdeen, Aaron played his early football in Scotland with Montrose and Partick Thistle before coming south to sign for Wigan Athletic in June 2014.

Having found opportunities there limited, he joined Rovers a year later, making his debut on the opening day of the 2015-16 season in a 1-1 home draw against Bury. Playing at left-back or centre-back, he made 49 senior appearances in his first season, scoring twice.

Unfortunately, a serious injury sustained in the final League game of the season meant that he missed most of 2016-17 and he was released, joining Plymouth Argyle. His overall Rovers record was 53 appearances with two goals. He is currently back in Scotland, playing for Livingston.
