Rover of the Day: Jamie Roberts

11 April 2020

Jamie Roberts born April 11, 1974

A midfielder or full-back, Doncaster-born Jamie joined Rovers before the start of the 1992-93 season, aged 18.

He made his debut on 16th February 1993 in a 1-1 home draw with Crewe Alexandra when he came on as substitute for striker Peter Heritage, who had himself come off the bench earlier in the game. Jamie started the next game, away at Barnet, but was replaced by Heritage in the second half of a 2-0 reverse.

Although named as a substitute several times, he did not play again for Rovers and at the end of the season he joined Hucknall Town.
