Elliott Walker has been crowned the youth team’s best cook after winning this week’s cooking challenge.
Friday’s final received more than 250 votes with the top two trading places all day but Walker’s salt and pepper chicken and rice was enough to see off the competition in the end.
The 18-year-old won 37% of the vote against his fellow finalists Liam Ravenhill who won 13%, Lirak Hasani who had 35%, and Junior Smith who finished on 15%.
This week has seen the youth team squad assemble some mouth-watering dishes ranging from beans on toast, buns to Kosovan style chicken as part of their off-field life skills development.
As overall winner, Elliott will receive a voucher for a free trip to the cinema and the whole squad will be treated to Nandos – both of which will take place once the social-distancing rules have been lifted.
