Ben Whiteman says he is trying to keep his mind and body healthy during time away from football due to COVID-19.
The club captain spoke to the D3D4 podcast about what he’s been doing to keep busy in the unexpected downtime.
“It’s difficult at the minute with no football not just on the TV but in your life – but there a lot more important things going on in the world at the minute,” he said.
“Luckily enough I’ve got a big field next to my house which I use to run on and there’s an app called Strava which you can use to track your distance and times."
While football takes a break, NHS staff, shelf stackers, and delivery drivers are working harder than ever.
“For me, I’m living day-to-day really, just trying to keep my mind and body healthy,” he added.
“I want to say a massive thank you to everyone in the NHS who are working so hard trying to keep the country healthy.”
