Your chance to become Rovers manager

7 April 2020

Rovers supporters who have always reckoned they could do better than the real-life boss will get a chance to prove it by representing the club in an official knockout tournament created by Football Manager 2020.

The popular game allows people to take charge of a side and steer them through the divisions - and we know many Rovers fans have taken the club to great things.

So have you steered Rovers to the Premier League or won one of the cup competitions, maybe even a continental trophy? Has the Keepmoat Stadium been named after you in honour of your trophy cabinet - and, presumably, extended to fit in all the silverware and fans that have flocked to watch your exciting style of football?

All you have to do is send your Football Manager CV and short covering letter, explaining why you feel you are the right person for the role, to media@clubdoncaster.co.uk by midday on Thursday April 9.

Rovers will treat applications exactly as they did when appointing Darren Moore as manager in the summer, with chief executive Gavin Baldwin and chairman David Blunt picking the strongest candidate to take the club forward.

Gavin said: "Every time we recruit a first-team manager we get plenty of people who let us know about their achievements on Football Manager - and now is the chance to show us how good they really are.

"We will follow exactly the same criteria as we did when appointing Darren, we are looking for a proven track record in Football Manager but also someone who can take the squad they inherit and get the most out of them."

The successful candidate will become Rovers' official representative in the tournament against more than 50 other EFL clubs. All applicants must already have access to Football Manager 2020.
